Pics: European Trucks

I spent a month in Europe and going around seeing these different trucks I thought some of them looked sweet, especially the land cruiser and the mitsu l200 (below in a response), so I got some pics thought you guys would appreciate them. I guarantee that 4 door ranger would sell well here but still they wont even try it... why?

You got the l200 or whatever right. I knew it wasn"t a montero pickup but by saying that, people knew what it should have looked like... its exactly the same as a montero sport just without the back.

You didn't get the LC pic up that I was talking about... I'm talking about rare. You see them in South America and Africa more cause its a really rustic car.

This is a 70 series Land Cruiser.

That is also seen in Australia.

Here we have BJ70's, BJ73's and LJ70's, BJ's are leaf sprung and LJ's are coiled.

You can see those "rustic" Yotas in the Toyota Gibraltar website. They have also the HZJ105, it's like a 100 Series but without electronics, double solid axle and a 4.2 atmosferic diesel engine. It's the one used by the NATO.

In Spain you cannot import one of those because they don't accomplish the European contamination statements. Well, I know a seller that imports them and put in the turbo and the intercooler of the HDJ100 to do it legal. 215HP with a sweet body and double SA... One of my dreams is one of those to cross the Sahara in Morocco...

Ohh yea... thats my dream too. I actually started driving a 70 series and thats what got me hooked on yotas... driving those offroad through wetlands was amazing... i'm hooked on land cruisers and yotas now though.

Hi... my name's Nic and I'm a yotaholic.

Also, have you ever noticed the difference between your american 4Runners and European ones like mine? Here's a list:

- I have reflectors in the rear bumper
- The 94+ 4Runners haven't crome around the lights, have the stripe painted metallic gray
- My 4Runner have plastic trim pieces from the front to the back of the sides (Look my avatar)
- You've double DIN console and I've a single DIN hole
- Your fan controls have different shape buttons
- We have clear corners from stock
- We have the backup lights inside the tail lights
- We have a rear fog light
- Diesel 4Runners like mine have "Turbo" written in the rear doors.

And some more I've forgot...

First time I read about I read Forrunner hahahaha.

It's nice, and it seems to have low gears. In Spain SUV are cars like Rav4, Freelander and so and 4x4's are our trucks. So the Fortuner seems not to be a SUV (Spanish meaning)

And Euro Runners have an LSD in the rear, some have rear lockers and the 92' and up 3VZ-E has 24valves.
Not to mention the different engines.

94yotarunner; where have you been in Holland? Not seen the LC80 TD's blizzard was talking about? Quit common over here.

True! My 4Runner had a stock LSD 'till I put a Detroit Soft Locker.

I've it sitting in the garage floor.

Hohohoho

A friend of mine has a Kia Sorento with BFG A/T's and he has arrived every place I had.

Is not the truck but the driver! He is the most expert offroader I've known. When I need someone to guide me I always call him, and only need to look at his hands.

David

PS: The Toy is nicer than the Sorento! Here in Spain are lots of Mall poser Sorentos.
