From my basic body knowledge, when a crease is put in like that, it is near impossible to get the shape back. Buy a new fender or snorkle(sp??) It does not seem worth the $$$ b/c it most likely will never be 100%
yes that is a lot of money, especially if it is repaired...

i had a dent not quite as bad as that and had it fixed for 90 bucks...that also included the buffing out a sratch....it wasnt quite as bad but it was in the middle of the door so it was alot more hard to repair....

Well im not paying for it my sisters friend is. He was trying to jump on the hood and slide down it. Hes about 200 pounds and he hip checked it.
They are not replacing to the whole side.

so long as its coming out of his pocket, get it fixed. an expensive hip check on his part. although, if you really wanted to school him, replace the fender and have it painted to match. now that would send a message. three things in life you dont mess with, a mans food, truck or woman. and not necessarily in that order!

That price seems a little high, but mostly right. Since the dent creased the sheetmetal on the top and bottom it will never come out and look right (you could technicially, but it would take more time and money that buying a new fender would cost). The paint is also cracked at the top, so they'd have to paint the whole fender...
That price is more than likely the cost of a new fender, prep and paint.

seems a bit steep.. even at an hours labour to put it on @ $75/hour. and the fender being $225.. tack in $150 to get it painted.. your still only at $450. i think if a friend ever did that to my truck by doing something so stupid i'd have to make a second dent in the fender with his head. even just wanting to slide down the nose of it, shows no respect for your property.

I'd say aftermarket fender...which with my 8+ years in body repair with a little tweaking to make fit...1 QT paint to match and $300 labor....hell yeh i'd do it for that! yer getting ripped...but with them charges they are using OEM parts and better be damn good at what they do!

$500 seems fair to me.. i had some girl just hit me a few weeks ago and had a similar dent in the rear quarter panel.. to get the dent out and paint it was a little over $1500 (i'll post pics when i get them developed)
by the way, if you get a good body shop like i did, it looks perfect and can never tell anything was dented.
