Pics of CB install
Damm this Mod fever is hitting me pretty hard this weekend
Here are some pictures of my CB installation that I did this morning. I like to have to CB at an easy level where I can reach the controls, so this seemed like an obvious place. I was not too hard to install, as I have stuck the CB to the underside of my Radio with some 3M tape and wedges. Sounds a little strange but works really well!
What do ya'll think?

Looks good Luke.
Does it have an external speaker jack in the back?
I take it your speaker is on the bottom and kind of getting muffled?
I put a Radio Shack (supportin' Adam here) external speaker on the back of my console and it works great.
It also sound louder and much better then the small built in speaker.
If yours doesn't have a jack, a shop should be able to wire one in for you by tapping in at the soldered points where the speaker hooks up now.

Hey Corey, It does have a speaker jack on the back and I never thought of putting an external speaker in. But I think as its a cost effective mod (those BFG's are gonna kill my wallet this week) I shall do it soon
Thank for the input

That looks real nice. I kinda laughed when I saw it, because it is bassackwards compared to ours in the U.S. Looks real nice though. That is where I put my scanner. Real cool! :fireman:

Pete, yeah getting that dash bent over to fit on the right hand side was a real bummer, but hey I looks cool now
Seriously though as far as an antenna goes I have got one of These as it flexis pretty well if you go near bushes etc. And I have it mounted pretty much the same way Corey did on the Fender before he moved it down to the ARB. It works well for my needs, as I dont use it that often. I mostly listen to the truckers and get traffic reports when Im on a trips etc. But my main reason for fitting it is when I go to southern France theres gonna be me and another 4x4 going, and using CB's to chat to each other is ALOT cheaper than using mobiles abroad.
Cheers
