PICS: 1999 Black 4runner

I am finally able to post some pics of my ride. Feel free to critique. Its not amazing but for a low budget HS grad, its not bad.

Mods for my 1999 4runner: Clear corner lenses and clear turn signals with chrome bulbs all from burtman industries, 2001 tailight conversion again from burtman industries, 31x10.5x15 BFG A/T's, 15x8 Mickey Thompson Classic Lock II's with black lock rings, eclipse deck, 1000 watt memphis amp, 12 inch 800 watt treo sub (its all this car needs, it pounds hard)

(I apologize if pics don't work, not really sure what I am doin)

It needs a flowmaster exhaust with a chrome tip. It would also look good with a lift and 32's or 33's, but I am not sure if i can afford to dish that out since I am headin off to college in august. Thanks guys, you have given me so many ideas in what to do to my runner.

looking tight, love the sub box. hell yeah this would look good with a little lift but i think you're cool for the time being. i have the 40 series flowmaster with a chrome tip, cost me 180 for everything, that'd blend perfectly with your setup. props!

Looks great! I've always been a fan of black runners! Yea the lift would look good but it would be expensive if you planned on larger tires as well. personally i think a 2 inch or so lift would look great with the current tires!

Thanks for the props guys! And Roor, your truck is awsome, the lift, exactly what I want! But I think I will look into the small body lift and keep the same size tires. Do you think 1.5 or 2 in bl would look better keeping the same tires? Or leave it? Thanks.

To tell you the truth I forget which site I bought them on. But I searched for a LONG time to get the best price on the rims and the lock rings. And the lock rings for all four, before tax, best price I found came out to around 125. They are SUPER easy to install. Since you have the same rims, just look at them and you will see that there are only 4 or 5 bolts that hold the ring to the rim. Grab a ratchet set and you are good to go.

Looks nice. Did you have any problem fitting those 15" rims on the front? What backspacing are they?

Great looking rig! Not bad at all for a HS grad! I hope to have my truck looking as sexy as yours, some day. Haha!

im in love with your truck. the flow system(make sure its delta flow, no annoying loud fart sound) and chrome tip would make the truck.

damn sexy rig.

Truck looks real good! To me, the tires actually look taller and wider than 31 x 10.5 on there. Maybe its the rims/lock rings?

BayArea, 4Runner looks nice.

Bandit, notice that he does not have the Sport/Ltd flares like you and I do. That give the illusion his tires are wider than 10.5.

Off roading is more my priority so I like a simple yet effective audio setup and a single sub is fine with me too. I have an MTX 10" which fits just under the security cover and if it does move the cover catches it and keeps it in place.
With a Bazooka 250w amp driving the sub it really helps the OEM speaker setup but eventually I'd like to upgrade those too.

I use a Belkin charger/amp to connect my iPod and not much else and kept things under $700 for what I needed about 2 years ago.

Here's a couple of pics

I would get some flares over those tires since that nice paint won't last long without 'em. Nice wheels and truck and '99 are the best.

Yeah, now that I look at it again, I think you are right. Thanks

I agree with X-AW, you might want to look into getting some type of Sport/Ltd style flares to protect you paint. Just a thought.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Since you have all seen my rig, what would you recommend in terms of body lift? 1 inch? 1.5? 2? (I plan on keeping same tires.)

Definitely a 1"

So whats the specs on your wheels? Your the first one i've seen with 15" wheels on a "newer" 4runner.
