Pickup Truck Seat Swap
i have a 1985 toyota 4x2 standard cab pickup... it has a shredded seat that really isnt comfortable at all.... i want to swap in a newer seat that is at least a decent condition bench seat or possibly bucket seats from anotehr type of toyota... what would directly bolt into my truck? i think i read somewhere that the bench seat up to a 95 will go in no problem, what about after that? also what about 4runners or seats from a taco or?

i was looking around and found some info, but i dont really want to modify anything... seats and some other saftey items are things i dont feel like i need to try and re-engineer saftey aspects

i would also reccomend seats from a late 80's celica gt-s. Ive heard you just have to bend the rear mounting tabs to bolt them into the trucks. And man them things is comfy! Just a thought

well the seats are already swapped in, and im sure some seats from a celica would be really expensive, i got a mismatched pair, well 1 seat out of different sr5 trucks one had a vin with an 84 model year and like 60k on the odo..... anyways the pair was $75 and they are soooo much better... just i want to toss some seat covers on to prevent further damage.... they arent perfect by any menas as they are still 20 years old, but they are a lot better than the bench that i had
