Your lucky you found a 5 speed. My auto is a drag. If only I was older...I then could maybe afford an engine swap.

Very lucky to find the 5 speed and it was one of the big attractions for me. It's a clean truck inside and can't wait to get this thing done.

There's 500 dollar deals out there, just not that many anymore. Motor should be out by Tomorrow night.

It's mine, Bumpin', all mine!!! (said with the accent of that little ex-hobbit type guy who had the ring fixation from "Lord of the Rings")

I'm really happy to have run across 82trekker's post as I'm really in need of some parts and spares.

I am having an issue with the darn thing (PS pump) and that's even after I've recently replaced it!

I'll tell you what though, if I manage to get it repaired, the donated PS is yours, o'kay?

Sorry, best that I can offer at the moment.

It's all good, trekker, I'm just waiting for wednesday to get here to find out what sort of progress you've made so I'll know when I can swing by and pick up, plus, after checkintg the pic in the post again I can see that they are indeed the aluminum wheels.

Have you tried rebuilding/resealing the PS pump Bumpin'? You may have a better experience with that route than I did and solve your problems all at once.

Also, besides topping the PS up, you'll also want to closely monitor the leak and/or what all parts that it is affecting as it can cause you some serious problems (like collasped shock, ruined AC compressor, ruptured CV boot, just to name a few fun [you know that this is sarcasm, right?!] PS leak sponsored projects) if left to it's own devices, FYI. Perhaps you can hit all of the fluid soaked components with some "brakewash" to help keep them tiddy until you can get around to the PS rebuild/replacing, but don't let it slip..., a word to the wise.

Update: Motor is almost out. Should be out tonight for sure...been sweltering hot here and getting anyone to help when the shop has been 110 degrees inside has been a BEOTCH to say the least.

Anyways, some here may know that my buddy Vince ripped the spring hangers off the last run due to a VERY rusty frame. It developed some serious cancer and we thought the frame would be fine when we built the truck. Not so.

Anywho...after some finagalin' with Vince he wants this runner for his own and since his Truggy was a runner all his stuff will swap over to it.

Soo....I traded Vince the runner and 4.3 motor and all my stuff to swap it for his 36s TSLs/Rims/22RE/SR5 Seats/and his 8Klb Warn Winch.

Vince's Truggy is R.I.P.! Done...never to be driven again.

So let the games begin! I'm stoked, and a little bummed but the sacrifice is worth having my trusted wheelin' partner on the trail again by the end of the month.

We'll keep you guys posted, I already have pics, just have to get time to sit down for a minute and organize and post.

No prob at all trekker, glad I could help alleviate any of the stress from the removal and am glad to have it to tear into when the opportunity presents itself, although I'm sorry that I could'nt manage to make it up there soon enough to help out with the removal..., misery loves company afterall.
Next time though I'll be "Johnny on the spot" to ease the pain (pleasure?) of separation with some numbing agents ( ) to offer additional comfort.

Hold it, mister!

I got dibbs on all extraneous parts that will not be carried over to Vince's new rig, unless trekker decides he wants to move something to recoup some expenses, that is.

Nah, you've got dibbs Franc. But I think Vince wants it for his spare. I'll ask.

Oh and reply to your PM. Rotors=Anytime. You wanna wheel with us this weekend?

Thanks for the dibbs, but no prob if Vince wants it.

Man, are you kidding?!? I'd love to go wheeling with you guys, but I don't think that my rides up to par for anything more difficult than a semi-rugged trail or some such.

As for the rotors, does "anytime" mean like "anytime" or are you talking about this weekend?

You'll be fine on this run Franc, we are doing with our TLCA chapter and some of these guys have mixed rigs if ya' know what I mean and from the looks of yours, you'll be fine. Hell, it's a yota!! RangerChad on this board wheels with us in his Taco all the time and does really well.

Yeah, anytime is anytime but if you were to come up say on Friday, pull the rotors, then head to Lake Alma with me and Vince, wheel, camp, swim, fish then head back to Kentucky on Sunday morning. Heck, Lake Alma is almost to Kentucky anyways.

but if that doesnt' work, then come up anytime.

I'm digging out my tent, sleeping bag and cooler now!

Hell, if anything proves to be too much, I'll just go around it, I guess?!?
