Picked up a 91 Runner for 500 bones

Ordered everything today from Marlin to SAS this pig. Have the axle/35s/rims/lockers for it already and it's getting the 4.3 vortec I've been sitting on for way to long. It will have its new motor and SAS by the end of August. Starting it next week. X my fingers it goes smooth. My 6th SAS on this one.

That went over my head...but thanks man. I'm pretty stoked. Gonna be my new daily driver and doubt it see hardcore trails. Trekker is undergoing major surgery and will be nice to have a few "luxurys" this 91 offers.

Damn nice hookup for 5 bills, looks good inside and everything with only minimal body work requiring attention..., not too bad at all.

What's the deal with the 3.0, is it blown or something ?

Also, inasmuch as you're swapping out power plants, what kind of shape is the radiator in ? I'm in need of a radiator and I'm not looking to take a reaming from the stealership, so let me know, o'kay?!

It was 5 bills and the motor has a low end knock to it. Downey makes the adapter kit for this trans to mate to the 4.3 if I've done my homework correct.

94x4 if you want the radiator it's yours, just cover shipping. I don't want any money for the motor so if anyone wants it, come and get the thing. It will be out by this Friday.

SeaFlea,

Man the Trekker is getting to utalitarian to daily drive anymore. Have a set of 37s on the way and the TR Beadlocks are ordered. It's gonna undergo alot of changes too making driving it daily impossible. The runner will be fun. All the parts upgraded on the Trekker will make their way to the Runner.

Yeah Jim that cancer is on the shortlist. I can do lead body work and have done alot of it so workin' this section over should be no biggy.

Let's hope anyways!

Yeah, it has been heading in that direction lately. The second gen on 35s as a daily driver will be awesome!

if nobody wants the engine, before you pull it, bungee cord the throttle wide open and see how many rods it will pitch out, and take pics, thats what I'd do anyway

I want it, I want it, I want it all, that is, depending on your actual locale (sorry, no GPS for me).

I've sent PM and EM and eagerly await your response.

That would be soooo cool. I bet that thing would keep running till all the rod were dust in the oil pan. Go Toyota!

It will make an awesome family weekend wagon for sure. Put the canoe on top load the kid up in the backseat and still be able to have some comfort getting around. I don't mind the stripped down rig but my wife likes more of the creature comforts.

Time is of the essence as the Trekker is down now and need some wheels. Fortunately it will just be alot of labor and not alot of cash on this project.

I'm in Columbus, Ohio and those GPS coordinates will get you on my favorite trail Only problem with blowin' the motor is it deprives someone else from gettin' what they need. Gotta recycle this stuff. One Man Gathers What Another Man Spills But it would be fun to do for sure.

I'll post up some pics every couple days if you guys are interersted in checking it out.

Starting tomorrow night with the Plasma cutter and Sawsall
