Yeah I think their diagrams on the TJM website still show the optional bar, but from what I've gathered they stopped making that bar. Oh well, I think I still may end up doing th t-15 and cutting the hoops off later and just rhino lining the bumper, but we'll see.

I will. It may take a few months to get everything done (poor college student here), but the bumper will be on order next week and then we'll go from there.

Just get a TJM-15 and hack off the outer hoops, it's quite an easy job. Just use a 4 1/2" grinder with sanding disc to clean up the welds and you won't be able to tell it ever had them. Just rattle can it with satin black paint afterwards, it blends nicely with the powdercoat finish.

I think that rhino lining anything that will get scraped and scratched is a horrible idea, your bumper WILL catch some rocks, which will tear up the lining, which will make a mess and be a PITA to fix. IMO, only mall wheelers should pay to have things rhino-lined or powdercoated.

The only thing getting lined on my truck will be the floor on the interior. Everything else will be rattle canned, it is so much easier to maintain and looks nice enough IMO. Think about it, you bed-line sliders or a bumper, you rip out a chunk on the rocks, now you have to go back, remove any excess lining, cut it back until there are no loose peices, clean and sand the area, get more liner (which I don't think lasts that long sitting in a can in your garage) and patch that spot a couple times until it is built up to the same level as the surrounding area, or, if you had it professionally done, you now have to pay someone to repair something that you will do again in a month or less. If it is rattle canned, just sand it, prime it, spray it. Done! Hell, if you are lazy, wipe it off and spray a coat over it and it will look pretty enough, haha.

Flooksy, shouldn't you be out sanding off the rust that your ONLY mod has created? That bug-deflector could be rhino-lined I bet!

He offered that up a long time ago if I recall, I assumed that didn't work out and that is why you were asking...can we talk about lining your offroad items now?

Yeah, it was a long time ago though, something was said about your brushguard and he said that if you get a TJM he would sell you a hoop. Question, why not go with the ARB Sahara bar?

It was my understanding that if you cut into powdercoat, it will start chipping and coming part even if you rattle can the area that was cut. If this is not the case I will try it, but I don't want to hack up a new bumper and then have it start peeling.

on the topic of lining, while I was in uptstae new york a few years ago, somebody had the entire back portion of an old f150 done with the rhino liner, the bed, and the whole fenders in the back. On the topic of bumpers, I like Mr. Goats the best, looks awsome, I never knew those brush guards were stock, always wondered though.

Thanks, it was a Toyota brush guard. I can't remember for sure, it may have been an optional thing that I had the dealer add on when I bought it back in 1993.
