Regarding the rack, you can definately feel it when it's up there. No sense in leaving it up there 24/7 just to hold a shovel and eat my gas mileage. I have my shovel strapped to my spare tire now.

The rack is handy, and it only takes a minute to replace it, so I am just going to toss it on when I need it.

That makes sense. Got an estimate how much gas mileage you lost with it on there? Do you think a more angled fairing would help?

Nope, I don't keep track of mileage.

The fairing is already on an angle, and any more wouldn't make much of a difference anyhow.

just a newbie, sorry for asking guys but how do you paint your 2nd gen stock alloy black? what are the materials needed? How to do it? do you need to take off the tire from the rim? planning to do it soon so if you may share some more ideas on this project.
