Photochoppers: OEM black grill and bumper, can someone help me out?
Ever since I was hazed into the ABNCC (All Black No Chrome Club) I have been trying to come to my senses and do something about my front end. Every hour or so, I will open the door to the garage and cringe at my rig’s big chrome front end, which literally beams at me and says, “help me!”
I just cant decide whether or not a black grill would look good on my rig. I know I can confidently turn my chrome to black, but for some reason I feel the grill might look strange.
So who is up to the challenge? Any other ideas? Remember, I am on a married budget, so the cost needs to stay low.
Here is a pic, can you modify it?
Thanks guys!

You are dreaming of this aren't you...come on...I can feel it.
I got my OEM black grill for $100 at the dealer.
Next, you'll need some black pearl emblems.

Photochop
Wait til they photochop your grill and bumpers black. With those black rims and with all the chrome gone (get black pearls) it'll look
EDIT: Or here is a brainstorm, make your now chrome grill into a "black pearl" grill like your emblems. That would look too!

dunno if this helps, it was a quick 2 sec PS job. kinda hard since the original pic didn't show much of the green of your truck.
hope it helps nonetheless. sorry for the rush job (at work)

OK, so for sure I need to color match the grill. Now, what do I do with that stinking bumper and valence?

Re: Dark Green
You should color match the whole thing - that's what I'm doing... all Sunfire Red.
Can't do that. Unfortunately for him, Toyota changed shades of Green beginning in 99. He could get a black 02 grill and have it painted or have his chrome one painted to match. As an alternative, he could just get some gloss rattle-can black and give it a few coats for effect.

Now there's an idea Bob. Do they make a dark green sport edition 01-02 grill he could buy or is he going to have to make his own? Green to match would definitely look too!

hey christian,
i'd say color match the grill to your paint color (green) and do the satoshi mod. that'll make it stand out.
a few months later, weigh the costs of color matching the valence and the bumper. if it costs anywhere near an ARB or TJM bumper, you know what to do from there.
