Performance systems for 3rd gen 4runner?
I can't find very good selection off exhaust systems and headers for my 1996 SR5 4runner. Best so far I could find is a Borola cat back and crappy no name headers. Any help would be appreciated.
Intake systems are pretty slim pickins too. What happened to companies like preformanceproducts.com's selection? I remember it being much more vast.
Or how about lightened flywheels or just light a$$ wheels? Where can I find these parts? Any good sites?

You didn't mention the engine you have, but thanks to your username I think I have it figured out.
Why go with some $200+ intake when you can do the deckplate mod and gain 5WHP for $20?
Thorley is about to make some headers for the 5VZ that are worthwhile (dyno'd with some decent gains). There is a group buy on here somewhere, just search.
I have a Jardine exhaust system. You can search for that on here too. I have a video on YouTube if you're interested, just click the link in my sig.
Hope that helps!

uh, lightened flywheel? I'd do the opposite, for a more stable idle when crawling
Borla exhaust = TRD exhaust = teh shizzle.
TRD made headers too, as did a bunch of other companies.
Or simply slap the TRD supercharger on the beyotch.

wont see any gains from headers on a stock motor for exhaust system theres nothing wrong with going with a magnaflow muffler in place of the stock muffler for intakes on the cheap you could do the isr mod and deckplate mod and trueflow filter or you can get a airaid intake tube

Okay, so the $1500 or whatever you spend on header/exhaust/intake gets you 10hp. Whooptie-doo.
If you're really looking for a power bump, go FI (supercharger). If not, just do a simple deckplate mod, if you want. Spending all that money on an SUV is pointless, IMO. Going from 0-60 in 15 seconds to 0-60 in 14.9 seconds is not worth all that time and money. Go wheeling instead!

There is a group buy a few threads down for some really nice headers. the same company also has a cat back setup.
As for intake look on ebay i got a short-ram intake there for $50 shipped, it was worth it for me to not have ot do the work for the deckplate plus it works better and i get to keep the stock airbox.
I have seen a few lightened flywheels around search for them, they are made. as for wheels just look on some wheel sites and find a lighter one that you like.

It has nothing to do about the hp. its the torque. if you are making power from 1500 to 3000 your happy. If you look at the dyno sheet for a Deckplate it makes is power way up in the powerband. not very practical when the headers show improvements across the entire board. which means its going to be power you use.
You can't really look at peak numbers in a truck. that being said get in on the group buy. for 500 bucks you can't go wrong.
