Perfect Power SMT-6 2001 S/C Automatic
I'm considering taking the plunge into the fuel modification swamp. Rather then add confusion to the "New Performance Mod" thread, I thought I would ask it here. Has anyone successfully installed Perfect Power's SMT-6 on a 2001, Supercharged V6 Automatic (Tacoma)?
I lost track of who got what working in the monster thread. TRD's 7th injector is interesting, but I'm still concerned with the ping and injecting fuel through the S/C. I understand Gadget is working on a package but I haven't seen what controller he plans to use. And packaging something like that will be very difficult.
I have had a email conversation with Perfect Power who suggests the SMT-6 will work with this configuration, but I would like to confirm that statement with those who are living through the early pain.
Thanks!
Tom

I did...
I successfully installed the SMT-5 on a supercharged 2001 3.4L V6 4Runner 4WD (automatic), if that helps any. If you're getting an SMT, I'd say go for the SMT-5. It has all you need and is less $. No software problems either. You will also need to purchase another O2 sensor though if you want to be able to tune. I have yet to install the Supra injectors but it has had no problems thus far with just the SMT added. It's tricky to get all the settings right. If you can get it wired though it will indeed work. Shoot me a PM if ya want to know more about what I did.
