origonal battery just went out on a 96 runner with 110K
Does anyone know where I can find panasonic car batteries. Dealers are carrying crappy interstate batteries. I'm in Socal

 

I too just had to replace my battery which was a Panasonic orginal but I went Optima from what I read and others have suggested. My thread

You can get a better battery like the Optima that will last a long time. If you want a Panasonic or eqivalent you'll have to do some searching. There is a website that shows all the battery brands and who makes them. It seems to me there were only about 3-4 companies that make all batteries. You may be able to find a battery that looks exactly like the Panasonic but has another name. The original Panasonic in mine and my wifes Runners were very good quality and lasted a long time.

 

I ended up getting a diehard gold. Overpriced at 80.00 3 yr full replacement. i did find out that the company who makes panasonic batteries is Matsui or something like that. They were closed on Monday when I tried to call, but I think the same battery or likely the new version is available.

 

Do yourself a big favor and get an Optima. I just replaced mine...
