P0325 error code for a Knock Sensor
Hello Guys,
Truck threw a code last night. Any suggestions on what I can try? The truck drives the same as before as far as I can tell. Truck is a 97 sr5 4x4 with 186k and the lifters are all out of spec. I know... not ideal conditions. Should I change to a higher grade gas? I do have another 5vzfe sitting in the garage but I want to give it a runthrough before a blindly throw a used motor into the truck. Thanks a million.

changing gas won't fix it
---------------------------
it is a bad knock sensor, bad wiring harness, or bad ecu
1) go and find your knock sensors and loosen them, then retorque them
to 39 newtons
2) run some diags on the knock sensors
check there is no continuity between the terminals
2a) if you have obd II tester then run some engine tests and examine the frequency pattern
it is likely the knock sensor is just kaput. prob need to replace one or both

Didn't think so... I can rob the sensor and wire from the spare motor because it seems fairly common that its the sensor/wire that is the issue and not the motor knocking but I was just keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you for the reply.
