Which other Lockers will fit IFS and ADD
Aside from ARB are ther any other lockers for the front IFS. I am confused on pro and cons using a non selectable locker with ADD. This subject seems to be hard for me to find nfo on. I want a quick lock, will it work?

There is the Detroit Trutrac, by Tractech. It is a LSD. A pretty stout piece, too. It replaces the entire carrier.
There is also the LockRight Locker by Powertrax. This is an automatic locker. It isn't completely silent, but it's not too noisy either. Most people recommend a selectable locker or LSD for the front, but I've heard of several people running the LockRight in the front with no issues.
Randy's Ring and Pinion can help you with all the application information.
Hope this helps.

I believe that you must convert to manual hubs before trying to run a Quicklock (Detroit EZ Locker). This is because your CV shafts are always engaged, and you will have some serious binding when trying to turn the wheel off road (bad) and especially on the road (way bad). Of course I am not yet running one in my IFS front end, but I do have manual hubs.

Well, I think so. Honestly, I don't know of many (actually, any) 3rd gens locked both front and rear. There is a huge gain with the rear locked in offroad ability, and a smaller gain by the front being locked (in addition to the rear). I've thought about going to a limited slip differential in the front. But, again, I don't know of any 3rd gens to be locked in the front, so it'd be breaking new territory (I think?)

A great link for differential info. Steve Schaefer runs an ARB air locker up front, and PhoRunner has a detroit truetrac up front:

Steve Hunt, Adrian Flygt, Lars Dennert and Jeff Bathke as well as a guy from CA, Pete all have the ARB RD90 as well.
I had a LocRight a few years back, sucked big time. Especially up front I would get the ARB so you can turn it off. It pulls big time off road when on.
I would say Tru-Trac or ARB.

I have dual ARB's. I got them installed @ 4Wheels Farts in OKC. I like them allot. But there is not much of a gain with dual ARB from most other front lockers except that when you want them locked, they are locked and when you want open they are open. The only other is if for some strange reason you only want one or the other locked... but the choice is yours. The main draw back is the $$$. dual ARB= for the wallet

Hey Rixham good to hear from ya. Thought maybe you'd been gone again. I'm on the hook to go on a trip at the moment and I'm less than 40 days from my final out so hoping they dont' send me I got stuff to do. Can't wait to get back to the real world!! Overseas has been fun but I am done! Fairchild here I come!

Talked to a guy at Eaton and he thought they might have 4Runner applications for their E-locker in about a year or so. But, that is a long time to wait and might not come about then either.
