What did you end up with, a lockrite? Did you regear at the same time? How are the on-road mannerisms?

lockrite 1620, yes.

didnt regear, no... when i recalculate my mileage accounting for the 2mph my odo is off, i actually am now (since driving like a little old lady) have been getting 17mpg

i drove the truck from rhode island (where we installed it) back here to boston... thats about 1 hr and 10 mins give or take and it was PERFECT on the highway. i can get the tires to chirp if i floor it with the wheels turned, but the only other thing i notice is some clicking when i reverse.

Lee I wonder if the 01 and 02's had just a slightly differant setup because I had to redrill new holes to relocate the tjm up an 1" for my BL also. It would not go up enough to cover that gap.

It was pretty easy though. slightly trimmed the frame mounting brackets and then drilled new holes in the bumper mounting plates. It fits perfect now.

Mod'd brackets

Cardboard pattern with the pieces I had to trim off.

I drilled new holes instead of slotting the original ones out. It is not adjustable now but it fits correctlyh and will not slip now.

hahah who's casey hotpants?

yeah im gonna do the satoshi mod sooner than later. my goal to this point was to get her more offroad worthy... now that she's on big meats, up 3.5", locked and decently armed (except my poor rear bumper :pat: ) its time to look at things like that again!

Lee - gotta ask, although you might not have found this out yet, but how does the atrac and vsc handle the lockright - is it selectable or always on?

i turn it off.

i pull the plug in the engine bay... i HATE vsc. but to answer your q, as far as onroad goes... there is no effect on vsc or atrac in relation to the locker.

Its probably a bit early to ask, but what's your thoughts on the 'road manners' of the Lockrite??

if you dont mind hearing some clicking when you turn with your windows down and no music on, then you will love it.

ive chirped it around a couple corners, i just need to adjust to learn to give it next to no throttle on uphill sharp turns from a stop... which there are several of in my area on my way to work.

with windows up and music on, you cant tell its even there.
