OME Shock Question
#2
Shocks won't lift you...you can run them with 0" lift but your chances of the shock bottoming out and causing damage to the shock is likely to happen over time. Thats my opinion...but OME shocks are pretty tough. You might find an OME shock that is equivalent to your height. PM strap22 and he will give you the scoop on it since he sells them...

actually, shocks on the front of a 3rd gen can provide lift. if the lower shock cup is farther up the shock body than the stock location, then it will provide some lift. on a 2nd gen with torsion bars, no lift can be achieved by changing shocks.
if you're talking about using OME shocks on a 3rd gen with no lift, i wouldn't advise it. you can, but they're pricey. go with the Tokico Trek Masters if you don't like the stock ones...
