No...it's still there. I have had this vibration for 1 year now. I am ready to pull my hair out to get it fixed.

Steve,
Where do you think I could go to to get a slip shaft style yoke?

You have a slip yoke and you need to get a fixed yoke and a slip shaft.

The only guy who is going to know if this is possible is Marlin. You'll have to actually get through to the old man.

My problem went away after I brought my driveshaft in to a drivetrain specialty shop. I had it balanced. After 2 failed atempts they put my driveshaft on a highspeed racing balancer and fixed the problem?

I don't know if it was my OME Springs that caused this intial problem or pure coincedents? Do any of you know anyone with a similiar situation and/or problem?

My 99 2wd is lifted about 5 inches in the back(2 1/2 inch spacers and OME 890's) and after reading this thread I thought for sure my driveshaft was too short. So I fabbed up a 7/16 spacer between the driveshaft and the diff. After I installed it the vibration got a little worse. So after stairing at it for a while I realized that The more you lift the rear of your 4runner the SHORTER your driveshaft needs to be! Not Longer! I think that Steve from SS had the right idea but had it backwards. The geomitry of the 4 link suspension makes it so when the rear axle goes down it also goes forward. making the driveshaft of a lifted 4runner too long and go into the trans too much. I remember Steve saying that he converted his suspension to leave springs. That explanes why the more lift on his rear axle made the drive shaft have to be longer.

Is anyone eles with me on this?

to bad it didnt work

There are several 2WD trucks with our system 1 kit (5.5") of lift for a 2WD and none of them have any issues, I warned them and they all reported back that nothing was effected by the lift. So I don't know. It has not happened to any of my customers yet.

I just did a bilstein and OME lift and now my steering is HORRIBLE. I too feel a bad vibration but its in the front end and its only in 4Wheel drive. Obviously I dont feel it while cruising around at the farm in 4X4 but its when I am driving in the snow. From 18-25 mph is when I feel this vibration.... any thoughts.
