Keep in mind that moving up to 265/75 changes your speedo's accuracy slightly as well. Theoretically with 265/75, when your speedo shows 65mph, you're actual speed is likely 66-67mph. So essentially your actual mileage will be somewhat more than what your speedo reflects.

Sorry about the double post, and Especially sorry about the flagrant thread hijack, but I just ran across this tire size calculator - probably the best I've seen. http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

Total circumference for a 265/70/16 (notwithstanding the differences in tread depth and casing specs from tire to tire) is 96.2", whereas the circumference for a 265/75/16 is 99.4", making the 75 profile 3.3% greater than the 70. If your speedo is set to the 265/70/16 tire, when it reads 65mph, you will actually be traveling 67.15mph. 75mph translates to 77.48mph.

I thought the difference was more like 5%, but that was just a guess. My speedo is off regardless, so I just put it at or below the speed limit, and I'm usually speeding anyway.
