Oil Pan removal 4wd 3.4
I've done a few searches, but its still not too clear.
Do I have to fully remove the front diff on a 4wd 3.4 engine to get the pan out? Could I just unbolt it and lower it? Is there enough room?
It kind of looks like there should be enough room.
I'm thinking of putting the frame on supports and a trans mission lift under the diff and unbolt and lower, with out removing the wheels and half shafts.
Any experience on this?
Thanks

Yes, you'll need to pull the diff. I did this not too long ago, there isn't enough room to squeeze the pan out without the diff out of there.
And you'll need to pull the wheels to get the CV's out anyway. Can't pull a diff when the axles are still attached to the spindles.
