While we're on the subject, I finally got my act together and posted a writeup (with pics) of the oil filter relocation, just in case anyone's interested.

I just got in from tightening my hose clamps. . .

How hard are the lines? Could the rubber hoses be too hard from the get go and are not being "bit" into by the
rings of the nipple when the hose clamp is clamped down?

The lines are very very soft rubber. When i tightened the hose clamps down i loosened them all the way pushed the hose as far onto the nipple as it could go than tightned the clamp down about 1/4 inch from the hose end. I ran the motor for about 10 minutes. . . so far so good!!!

nother question does anyone know of a oil pressure gauge that will fit in slot below the radio in the dash or any gauges for that matter????

Just wondering.

2 1/16" gauges fit just fine with a little dremeling of the bottom bezel.

AHHHthe dog on friggin oil line blewat the filter two days ago!!! Last night the dog on line blew at the motor I was outside under my truck ,in my driveway, till 10:00 repairing the dag on thing.

It took me 4 hrs to find a hose that would work. . . I ended up driving all over i finnally found a parts store open, 45 minutes away, they had high pressure hose just not the right ones!!!!!

I ended up driving out there just to find they didn'yt have it so i drove home as a last ditch effort i tried LOWES they had hose that will withstand upto 200PSI so i geuss that will be ok for a few days. . .

if anyone has replaced these hoses and knows were to get decent hoses hit me up jhbryaniv@aol.com

i am going to try and find a way to adapt 5/8" braided line to the kit i will post my progress.
