Angry Oil cap not rmoving!!!

I drove my runner for about 1-2hr stright checked the oil and it was low wanted to put some oil, but the oil cap is not removing. Could it be because the engine is hot? Need any advice on how to remove it.

Yes, eat your Wheaties. I have worked around car engines for 30 years and have never had your problem.

have you let your wife/girlfriend try first? it seems that when they try to open a new can of pickles or anything airlocked, they can't bust it free, but men have a easy time opening it after they try. has something to do with them making the lid a bit "loose" for us!

that's normal for some reason. When the engine is cold, it's cake to take off. When it's hot you feel like a 165lb weakling that can bench press 225...lol However I usually won't stop till that sucker is OFF!

sometimes when it refused to budge and the skin is threatening to leave my palm permanently, Ill just grab a 1/2" drive socket extension, place the open end against one of the oil cap's lugs, and lightly tap with a hammer. No oil cap has ever denied me...

Probably has something to do with their hot little hands causing thermal expansion in the lid making it loosen up.
