oem Elocker master install kit vs V6/turbo
has anyone priced out this kit from the stealership? over cdn$300 and thats even after my 20% discount i just ordered it for my gear swap (im anal about using oem stuff) n im having 2nd thoughts about spending so much for it when i could have used a regular V6 kit...
after looking at zuk's gear site, i realized why the bigger carrier bearing alone is over $70. wow. but zuk reuses that one and states he used only 3 out of 4 bearings in the regular V6 master kit...
now my truck has just over 170K km's (about 105K mi's), and i figure since im in there, might as well change all the bearings..right? wouldn't you? i guess im having buyers remorse now..and i just need some affirmation that i didnt waste almost 4 bills when everything was all said n done...

I have been looking into this as well. The kit is about $180 from non-OEM sources. When I did my front diff I went to the dealer and ordered just the bearings, crush sleeve, and nut and it was about $60. I will probably do the same with my rear diff. But you say $70 for just the large carrier bearing...wow.
