No heat
2000 4R Ltd
I have no heat and when I turn the temp knob up to the point that the heat should kick in, I get an odd "clicking" sound under the passenger side of the dash.
If I turn the temp down, the clicking stops-and when I turn it back up, it starts right back up again. Any ideas?
Thanks

The Blend door that controls the Temp of air coming out vents is either stuck from a foreign object. or popped out of its "home" so to say,. or theres a actuator problem. either way its in the dash.
I noticed a similar clicking in a customers 4r the otherday.

Okay, thanks! Not being the most mechanically inclined person in the world, do I want to know what it takes to access this blend door-or is it something that I should just take in & have a pro look at?

Well, I found it just to the right of the console & promptly tore the cable off of it trying to get it to budge. It's like that white plastic part is totally seized up.
