newbie question

Hi guys! Brand new to the site, though I've been reading your posts for a few weeks now. I've got a few questions regarding my truck. It's a stock 94 4Runner, 3.0 V6 manual and I've just installed a new block in it ( I blew the engine -- ouch! ) It's seems the clutch may now be slipping as the engine surges in lower rpms in 2nd, 3rd and now 4th gear. I'm having it looked at, but the engine also shuts off completely when I slow down to make a turn. It starts up right away when I turn the key and it can't be the battery since I just got a new one 2 wks ago. Is it clutch related you think? Also, there is now an intermittant electrical buzzing sound coming from behind the glove box. Does anyone know what that could be? I have little experience w/ trucks since my last car was a lowered Integra - yes, I know! I have seen the light and can never go back to a rice rocket. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas!!
