Are you speaking in terms of:
1) it's not legal in the state of MD;
2) it's not a good idea, or
3) it doesn't look right?

Enlighten me.

it's not legal. If your out in the sticks of Md, the cops won't care. But if ur in monkey county, or some other cop wants to harrass you, then they can cite you for it.

Most states require the tires be covered in order to be legal (eg fender flares)

I like em, but then again, I may be biased..
old pic...

mine are the 1079s. does anyone know if the optional bead locks are actually functional, or are they cosmetic only?
for 89 bucks each I'd hope their functional but i dunno.

new pic...

If you want them to look new always, then this is the way to go. Takes a little time, but non abrasive and it lasts a few years.

I think those look worlds better than your OEM rims. And if you are worried about how far the tires stick out, then just get some OEM Toyota, Bushwacker, or Xenon flares for your rig and be done with it...

Nice truck

I have the same rims with MT tires mounted on them. I run the stock rims during the winter with Revos. No complaints here. Keep em.

Show us a picture of the front view, Let's see how far the tires stick out.
I still like your 4runner as much as any I have seen.

Try again here.

grimpy, I installed them with the center caps (I remember you said you went center-cap-less).
