New Wheels Today
Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys 1069 16x8 4" backspacing
I'm still getting used to them. Without flares of any kind, the 4" backspacing does push the wheel/tire out beyond the body a bit more than I like. I tried a set of Mickey Thompson Classic II's, but they didn't clear the calipers. I have always loved this style wheel, but now that it's on MY truck, I think I may like the OEM wheels more.

i love those wheels, i have the same ones, except the xtreme alloys. the only problem that i has with them is that they got dull and pitted from road grim and especially salt, so i decided to paint them black. so now i have the same wheels as you but in gloss black.

It looks good. Everytime I look at my aftermarket wheels, I get the same thoughts as you, especially when you see guys w/ the Lexus or Tundra wheels. OEM's look good but now yours looks different.

gotta agree with 4Peanut...had simular looking wheels (Axis regulator 16x9)
and went back to stock after 3 weeks(now i gotta sell em)....didn't like the look (personal taste i guess?).
only regret is going back to a 16x7 size...would've loved to keep the 9.0"

These are the Xtreme Alloys by Pro Comp. Their model number is 1069. How long before yours started to dull? Pitting doesn't sound good either. I'm meticulous when it comes to keeping my wheels clean. Did you let them go too long without cleaning, or will no amount of wheel hygiene keep them looking new?

It is a temporary clear coat. I have a complete unused kit for sale if interested. It would keep your wheels looking brand new much longer than polishing alone. Plus you wipe them off like chrome to clean

the soap and water will get the dirt off, but not the film that builds up on them, to get that off you will need to use some sort of alluminum/metal polish. the only reason that my wheels went through this as bad is because i live in the mountains and the salt is what did it. if you live where there is salt or snow then they will get dull, but its just a matter of polishing them to bring the luster back. i would try the sealer that filthyrich mentioned, i think that it would help. the only reason that i painted mine black was that i was getting tired of polishing my wheels after every time that it snowed to make them look good again.
