New vehicle
Well.... As some of you know i drive an 87 yota pickup... By the way things are look I might be getting something new in the next 6-8 months. My mother has been talking about getting me something else for graduation.. Something newer but not brand new. What you guys suggest.. I want to stick with a Yota since the truck is old but it has been a great car with minimum problems. I have been looking at 4Runners. How is drive, gas mileage, and overall comfort? I would prolly end up getting about a 95 or so. What would i expect to pay? And if you don't mind me asking how is the insurance cost? I have also been looking at the tacomas and the rav4.... Anyone have one of these and if so what about them?

If I were to do it again, I'd get 96 or newer. I bought a '95, which has been a great car, but, the 3.0 sucks. The 100 available horses are crap and the gas mileage is even worse. But it's a bullet-proof engine. Mine has 145,000 hard miles (regularly rev the engine to 4500) and has never let me down.
Whatever you get you won't be dissapointed though.

Ooo... So a 96 or newer? Would be nice. I know there are some good yotas.. I was amazed with this truck, 131k miles with the same old 22R engine and still running strong. Only thing is transmission is messing up, sticking a bit. And seems like new noises are popping up everyday... Like today was hearing a high pitched tone from somewhere and something is squeaking when i just cruise with my foot off the gas. It's been a great truck and I don't want to move to a car because of the lost hauling space Thanks for filling me in on those things.
