new toytec suspension lift

alright so after months and months of waiting i finally got the time, money, and a very generous friend to get my toytec lift on my 4Runner! This Toytec Ultimate lift kit consists of Bilstein 5100 front coilovers, OME 891 rear coils, rear Bilstein 5125 shocks, and a front diff drop kit.

Here are some pics from the install, enjoy and tell me what you think!

before

and after the install

heres a bunch of random pics during the installation

i kinda look stupid in this pic but what a difference! :jester:

heres the rear assembly

Truck looks great, did you have to make any front height adjustments? Those front coils can be tough to turn with the spanner wrench.

Looks good and it's a great lift. If I was to do it again, if I knew what I know now, I would go with the COs and 891s. (I have Tundra TRDs and 891s)

Just a little advise. I drove for a couple of years on my 890s without a pan hard bar drop. I added one when I went to the 891s. You will feel a squirm in the rear without the drop. Also you should add a diff drop. It'll help with your CVs.

the total cost was $1,240.84 to be exact, it would be a little more if you were to get it shipped since i went and picked up the lift from their warehouse myself.

and for the jack stands you just cant see them in the pictures but they were there.....there were holding up the rear of the car on the trailer hitch

im hoping to do the pan hard bar drop soon since my friend just did his and it was really cheap

Can't tell from your pics, but make sure the lower shock bolts on the fronts have the thread facing away from the CVs (or make sure there is enough clearance between the bolt ends and the CVs at all angles).

Hey guys: I have to ask...(and I'm too lazy to search through all of the lift threads)

I have a 2000 2wd with a Daystar 2 1/2" spacer lift. I've had the lift on for about 7 or 8 years with no problems at all, but I'm thinking about replacing it with an all spring OME lift and 1" body lift. I don't really haul anything and I'm sure my springs have sagged a bit over the years.

My question is this: I'm looking for a completely level truck with NO rake front or rear (like I have now as I don't care for the raked look). Will the ToyTec OME3-RUN kit with OME 881's up front with top plate spacer and OME 890's rear accomplish this? I figure if I'm going to upgrade the lift to an all spring lift, I might as well go a bit higher

Thanks,

Paul

if you are going to go with the 3" spring lift all around then yes you should be able to accomplish that. Although i did choose to get the 891's in the rear, its a little more stiff but eventually the spring will sag a little bit and you will have a true 3" unlike the 890's that will sag a little more so it might be uneven. just wanted to let you know.

Looks good there.....hope to finally one of these days get a lift too but house remodel seems to always take priority.... weird thing is, with those rims and tires it almost looked smoother w/o it, lol.
