If you submerge your rear end while offroading, (like some folks do), there's a good chance water will leak into the housing. The bulb plugs have rubber gaskets around them, but they don't line up/seal as well as stock.
Let me put it this way... I won't be selling my stock 02 lights any time soon.

Think they can with stand leaks when sprayed directly by a pressure washer?Just wanted to make sure when I wash my 4Runner (w/ my pressure washer), I will not have to be afraid to get these lights wet. (I do not have any leak issues w/ my stock tails is the reason I ask.)
Thanks again.

ok fair enough... sorry to hear that. I got my set for free and think they are the bee's knees. I have been to Oahu 3 times but never flown to the islands.

QS, did you have to work hard to get the harnesses out of the panel's? my buddy is trying to install his LED tails he just got in, but tried to remove his stock tails and said that the harnesses looked to be fairly deep inside the rear quarter panel.
He's primarily concerned that he will pull too hard and rip the stock harness out. is there enough slack behind the housing to tug a little or should he just take off his interior panels to access this? TIA!
he has a 2001 Sport Edition 4Runner...

wow, that was an unbelievable pain in the ass for such a simple mod. due to vegasboyy's extensive sound system, it made a 25 minute job into a 1.5 hour job.
gotta say though, it looks clean as all hell with no gaps anywhere. solid craftsmanship from the Taiwanese once again!

Those TRD headers are sweet. Nice Toyota engineering and thus the high cost. Coating looks great but unfortunately will not affect the radiated heat. Best keep things away from those pipes. I will say, the pipe wrap, which looks like crap, will keep things that may contact a pipe from initially burning.
Pack a lunch when you get ready to start the install. I'm sure you will feel the difference especially when the charger gets to cranking out some decent boost.
