New tires throw of alignment??
I recently put some new 285's on my 4runner, and ever since the alignment has been off. It pulls pretty good to the right now. They seem to be balanced fine at freeway speeds, no vibrating or anything. Before the new tires the alignment was perfect, it had been done about 6mos ago when I did the suspension lift. Any Ideas what might be causing this?? Thanks

the new tires are throwing off your alignment. When you change tire size you need an alignment. PLus, with the money invested in new rubber an alignment is cheap insurance.

I don't think putting different size tires will change your alignment. Cross the 2 front tires, you say it pulls right....now once you cross them and if it pulls left then you have what is called a radial pull.If it still pulls right after you cross the tires then get an alignment.....but it does not hurt to get a alignment after you get a new set of tires on your vehicle....it is a cheap insurance to make your tires last.

sweet thanks.....I was gonna try to streach the alignment I got 6 mos ago at least a year. But with how much I spent on these tires Ill most likely get another one. I think I'll try what 98 yota said first and sawp the 2 fr tires. Thanks again
