At the risk of getting flamed, I haven't found anything yet about using the Tundra TRD coils on stock 4Rnr struts. I'm a noob and have a 2001 bone stock SR5 4X4 on which I'm considering this lift option, based on all the info documented on this board. Not much offroad time, unfortunately; mostly highway miles with an occasional trip to the rocks and trails. Could I put the TRD coil on my existing strut (with no top spacer) - will it fit? Would this result in 1.5+" of lift with a close-to-stock on road ride?
For the rear, does anyone have experience with the OME906 spring? My truck is typically driven unloaded. The goal would be 1.5-2" in the back to match the front.
The thought for using this set up is that I could lift a little now, and if I wanted to invest more later (shocks) for heavier offroad use I would have springs I could re-use.
Comments on this?

Yes it probably could be done, but those shocks (stock 4Runner) are junk. They are only 20 bucks each new.

its in this thread. i saw it myself. please go back and read. and even if the answer wasnt here, the part numbers are. you could have had your answer by calling your local toy parts store in the same time you waited here for an answer
you know, you as well as the rest of us are really lucky that this thread exists. this is about the most complete lift thread that people have spent their own time and money discovering things that have never been tried before. right down to measurements, part numbers, pricing, etc. why does coil length even matter if the combination of parts, prices, amoutn of lift, etc has already been well documented? isnt the goal to figure out the amount of lift? even some of the tacoma guys from TTORA have made it over here and read the thread and had great follow up questions.
do yourself a favor read the thread from the beginning. thanks to andy, schaeffer, etc for the thread

I have to second your sentiments...if it weren't for this thread and the help from these guys taking their own time to put this info together, test it, write and rewrite, I wouldn't have my lift. To anyone with questions at this point in the thread, my suggestion would be to do what I did; Print the whole thread, read it, and re-read it. There are many ways to lift a 4 runner...and there is probably no better thread or more comprehensive group of information about it on the planet--thanks again guys!

okay. i have read this entire thread, but given there is ALOT of information in here and i'm a little confused. i am a tacoma owner and much of the information in here is geared towards all the runners out there.
ok so having that been said, from my understanding after reading this thread.....
on a 98 4x4 tacoma WITH the top plate spacer i can expect around 2.25" of lift?
WITHOUT the top plate spacer i can expect around 2.00" of lift?
i know it's only a quarter of an inch, but every little bit helps as i'd like to avoid doing a body lift.
