Steve & Andy,
Are you taking into consideration that your measurements are some what off due to #1 how far Andy's flares stick out VS non on Steve's? That would increase Steve's #'s in comparison wouldn't it? Also, Steve has to measure around that huge 35" tire VS Andy's 33"
I think the only way to actually compare apples to apples would be to use a yard stick or something perfectly vertical.

are y'all using the rubber isolator inside the coil assembly? I used it with mine, i have the yellow/yellow, blue/yellow coils with OME n91S shocks, no body lift on a 1997 Limited, my measurements are:
22" front center of hub to bottom of Flare on both sides, i sit even f/r with my 891's with the conical bumpstops, the 891's haven't been flexed much but do have 20,000 miles on them.
i seem to be higher than most people, i bought the springs used so i don't think it is a new issue. I have no aftermarket weight on the front end at all. I bought a rev-tek top out spacer but it made the strut assembly too long to install even with the upper ball joint nut loosened way up and jacking down on the control arm. There is definitely more coil interference with the Tundra coils, they are much bigger around than the OME's.
i love the way they ride!

as far as the flares, i really don't think they are much lower than your chrome trim. our measurments sound about right considering your front bumper. do you have a body lift? did you include it in your measurements?

Does somebody happen to have the extended lengths of the Bilstein and OME shocks? The rear Bilsteins (BE5-2451) and the OME N86 have a difference in extended lengths of ~1" (Billie: 20.2" vs. OME: 21.2"). Would it make sense that the matching front shocks would have the same difference in their extended length? That combined with the slightly longer ATS arm length over the stock control arm might be the contributing factors to Steve's extra droop.
I am not a smart suspension guy so if my assumptions are off (read: stupid) please tell me so.
Steve: Any thoughts on how you plan on mounting the limiting straps up front?

I measured vertically and not "around". I put a construction level on the center of the hub sticking out, then measured from the floor to the level. I then put the level at the bottom of the fender flare, then took that measurement. I then subtracted the hub measurement from the flare measurement to get something that we can all compare numbers with since different tires and wheels can throw off other types of measurement methods.

So if you take off 1/2", We went out to dinner last night and there was a 3rd Gen with Limited flares, you right they only hang down 1/2" lower, just like the goofy chrome strips.

Steve, now with that being the case, are you SURE you're only getting 2.75" of droop? I got 3" and wasn't maxed out - upper arm wasn't touching the coil yet... You don't think the front N91s' are SHORTER than the TRD Billies, do you?

It's not the upper arm, it's the back of the ball joint hitting the winds in the coil.
Maybe I should try measureing that again. Like from the top of my tire level and then the top of the tire drooped.

These numbers are consistent then. If you would have been installed the Revtek top spacer, that puts you at 22.5" with LTD flares, the same as Andy and Steve (adjusted).

I have 2 5/8" of droop from sitting level in the garage to jack the front wheel up so it hangs.
The Ball joint did not hit the coil without the Revtek, So I'm thinking all I have to do is pull it back 1/8" of droop of so.

Well I found the sweet spot for the droop. Looks Like I'll have to pull it back 1/2"
So after the straps I'll have 2 1/8" of droop, which is pretty good considering 2" have been eaten up by the lift.
Maybe the upper arms are not all that. I do need some sort of shaved stock arm. Problem is that I beat my stock arms up years ago trying the hammer/pop method on the ball joint. So I would have to get some junk yard ones or buy new ones.
If Andy can get it to droop furhter with the stock arms. Then these ATS arms are going in the trash.
