Question New to site and Toyotas

Hello all, I am new to Toyotas and to this site. I have a 98 4Runner with a 3.4 V6 auto tranny. My 4Runner is the Limited Edition (Not sure that makes a difference)
I have read on here and other sites about the IAT sensor, in my Hanes manual it only shows these on the 4 cyl. I looked in the electrical schematic to try and find the wire colors. I see that the same color for the IAT on the 4 cyl has the same color and referece as on the 3.4 MAF sensor.
Is there no IAT on the 3.4? When I hook my scanner up (Actron 9180) the IAT temp is about 10 degrees or better off, it shows 30-41 degrees when the temp is about 20 - 30 degrees F, is there a way to correct this?
Long way to explain I have a misfire on cyl 4, everything was fine then started when it got colder. Changed the plugs wires, O2 sensor, cleaned MAF sensor, still have a miss. MIL light comes on then will go back out on its own. There is no error code calling out the #4 injector, just the misfire code occasionally for cyl 4.
Any ideas anyone??

i would do a compression test

also i believe that the maf determines the intake temp on some vehicles, and being 10 degrees off is probably about right when you add the under hood temps to it
