NEw rubber>>?

Right y'all so here's the list....

Cooper hercules terratrack
BFG Allterrain
yokohama geolander AT II
Bridgestone Dueler AT REvo
Goodyear wrangler RT/S
Michelin LTX MS

I've got a great deal goin' down with the Yoko's, and by all right's they are number one choice in my eyes. I can't afford the Deuler's, and am concerned about the Goodyears longevity. I've pretty much made up my mind, but I don't know what the durabillity of the geolander's are like, or how they wear. Mostly I'll be on fireroads slick with spring and fall mud, and dealing with local snow conditions. I commute to go 'yakin' about 1000 kms a weekend during the summer, and that's pretty much the extent of my highway trips. SO....opinions, gripes, concerns, or just plain wanna give a voice...lemme know 'cause I need to make a decision and ditch my bald michelin's.

peace

I think Geo's wear fast - so I've heard. The BFG AT's will give you 45-60K miles as long as you rotate them when you should. My Runner came with GY RTS's - they were crap. Alot of memeber have the Revos and are happy w/them.

Did ya ?

Go with the BFG's. They'll last a while and I've never heard anything bad about them. Plus, I love the way the AT's look with the white letters facing out.

I just got the Geolander +IIs and I really like 'em so far and you can get the stock size from TireRack for under $100 and they are warrantied to 50k miles. I've been off roading with them a few times already and they are holding up fine to abuse so far.

Thnx fellows

Well straight up thnx for the words of advice. I would like to get the Revo's or the BFG's, but plain and simple they're about 200 + more than what I can get the Yoko's for. In other words, the yoko's are on their way to my front door as I type. Moreover, I did complete an archive search on the subject of the Geolander at's but really came up with no definitive yay or nay subject lines dealing with the longevity and wear patterns of the Yokohama's. Since most in the yotatech world are on the revo's, which I can't afford, there wasn't much advice to be had through the archives. Anywayz thnx again, and I'll be sure to keep anyone else who's in the need to know about the yokohama's updated. Unfortunately I've gotta wait 'till next week to get my 31's, so I'll have to deal with the bald michellin's until then.

peace

why would BFG's not be good for wheeling, or did I misunderstand what you were saying?

I just picked up my 32" Yokohama Geolander AT II about 3 weeks ago at tire rack (we have a distribution center in Reno) So far I really like the ride quality and look of the tires. I think the tread pattern is better looking than the BFG plus they are unique. Everybody has BFG's.

Go for the Yokohama's

Go with the Revo's. I can do anything offroad my friend w/ BFG AT's can do, and there's less road noise, better on-road handling, and better wet road handling w/ the Revo's.

I picked mine up for $105 each, installed. And ya, there was a national backorder when I got them about 6mo ago. Try the crappy looking mom and pop tire shops - they can special order, and are way cheaper than the chain stores....
