so does the 3/16" not bend and flex at all, and what do most people prefer for limiting damage (i.e. transfer forces as mentioned). is there a significant weight difference between the two? nice work btw

BudBuilt skids are 3/16". they don't bend, and if you are beating somthing hard enough to transfer that much energy, then you're going to bend the 11GA (1/8") so bad that you'll tear something up anyway. the point is, if you're going to dent/bend 3/16" steel badly, then you really need to change your driving style and NOT your skid plates.
