I think he means the blingy faux Tacoma skidplate which I have and is removed before any off-road excursion.

...Well except mine is all scratched up and has a pair of dented bumpers, squeaky alternator belt, warped rotors, busted antenna, blown stock speakers and the worst case of drive shaft clunk this side of the Mississippi...
But other than that, I have the exact same truck! Sweet!
But seriously, if you have any intention of removing your running boards , kiss that nice glossy paint goodbye.

What part of the country do you reside in?
