New to me 2000 4Runner
I currently have 93 22RE 5 spd 4x4 4Runner that I'm turning into a trail rig and didn't need another 4runner but couldn't pass on this one. It is a 2000 4Runner SR5 V6 4x4 AT with 92k miles. The timing belt was done at 53k and tune up at 86k. (Both by previous owner & at dealership I work for). Being an employee, i was able to pick this up for just under $6800 + T&T. I really wanted a 5spd 3rd gen if I we traded one, but other than the rust on the front bumper and some stains on the back carpet, this is really clean & I couldn't say no.
I just ran it through our automatic car wash at work and nothing else. With temps near triple digits expected in the northeast, I may hold off for a few days before waxing etc.
On to the pics:
My 1.5 years boxer is trying to "sniff it's butt" in this pic.....lol
That's all the pics for now.

Nice, I work at Ford here in town and we had a really nice used '97 Runner w/ only 113k on it, they were asking around $8500, not sure what it would've been at my price. Brought back memories when I brought it in the back to wash it, oh how stock that thing was!

Havew a lead on a 99 Limited that the lady wants to sell before she and hubby move out of state, 193K timing belt and water pump just done but has idle issue, stalls randomly, dented lift gate dog chewed the rear seat (leather) asking $4000. wonder if I should try to pick this bad boy up?

It gets tough working at a car dealer. There's always something you want to buy. Since I've been at mine (March 2002), I've had a 2000 Tacoma Xcab, 2003 Corolla S w/ TRD SC, 2005 Tacoma D-cab TRD OffRoad (totaled), 2006 Tacoma D-cab TRD Sport, 2007 FJ Cruiser & some beaters for commuter cars. They were 95 Tercel, 92 Corolla, & 95 Corolla (still have but selling now).
BTW, not married if that list didn't make it kinda obvious & all of the new vehicles were before I bought a house.

If you notice in the first pic above, the roof rack is off except the side rails. If you look close at the side rails you can see that a lot of the paint is peeling off. The rest of the rack was in the cargo area. So, I decided to sand and paint them today. I used Rustoleum Rust Reformer Primer & Duplicolor rattle can bedliner (had it left over when I painted my All Pro sliders for my FJ).
Other than swapping the headunit out of my '93 into this one, there's not much else I'll be doing until the '93 is done. The headunit in my 93 has Bluetooth, XM & a USB port so it's not going to be used for a while so I'm going to put it in this one.

Great deal man. I'm really excited for you. I'm new to this forum. I just got rid of my maxima and am looking for a 4runner. Right now I'm looking at a 97. Here's a question for people that know more than I do. It pulls to the right in 2wd but in 4x4 it's fine. Is that supposed to happen?

Only advice I could offer is the obvious, alignment may be needed. Sorry I couldn't help more. I've been researching more on the 2nd gens since I bought my 93 to turn it into a trail rig. This place is a gold mine of information. It's sometimes tedious to search and read through all the posts, but I found it to be very helpful to do so. I find my self reading posts for a good hour or so each day about all kinds of stuff related to what I'm doing to my 93.

I hear that. With my maxima I used maxima.org. It was more helpful than a mechanic and cheaper than a shop. These forums are probably the best tool ever. Good luck with your trail rig.
