Question New clutch prices????

Have a friend with a '94 PU that needs a clutch. He was quoted $1500 to replace with Toyota parts and $1200 to replace with aftermarket. Is this a reasonable price? Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

I bought my clutch kit from here for $139 including shipping, it is made by the OEM manufacturer. I then took it to a local independent shop that charged my ~$400 to replace the clutch as well as the rear main seal. I had called clutch doctors and some other clutch specialists and was quoted ~$450 for parts/labor.

Check here. I bought a new centerforce clutch and flywheel there for cheap (they were on sale) and installed them myself. Best bet is shop around the web to see how much the clutch you want costs. If you don't want to or can't do it yourself, firemedic had the right idea. Find a shop that will do the work for you with your parts.

I got mine done at the dealer for $700 including parts and everything. Normally I would have done it myself, but I just didn't feel like it.
