New clutch on a 94

Hey guys just thought Id let you know I got a new clutch fitted in my truck on friday. Its an ADL clutch (anyone ever heard of them?) and cost my £430 including fitting. I looked at getting a centre force shipped from the US, but was worried about if anything was different with a UK runner.

Well after a short road trip to see Joey on Saturday, I have to say I'm very pleased with it. The truck shifts in and out of gear real smooth now and the clutch pedal is real light, i can tell ya that took some getting used to . Also now when I put my truck into reverse it doesnt "crunch" anymore yippeee

The garage where i got it fitted have also warrantied it for 2 years unlimited mileage, so i guess it must be a good quality one. I was also told that ADL make OEM clutches in Japan, dunno if this is true or not?

I also ordered my BF Goodrich AT KO tires on friday! I got coming a set of 32 11.50 x 15's, they are costing my £118 each, fitted. They are also gonna take about 5 days to get here so I will be sure to post some pictures once they are fitted, man I tell ya i cant wait!!!! i've always wanted a set of these

As you can see from the above, ive spent a ton of money on my truck this last couple of days, but as Im looking to keep her for quite a while yet so I think its worth it, I just gotta let my wallet recover a bit until i order my new Hella 500's damm this mod bug taken a hold of me, Corey its your fault!!

Hi Luke,
Sure is fun acce$$orizing isn't it? In 1980, I was sent to Norway for NATO exercizes. I figured I would go to an auto parts store and buy Hella or Bosch lights cheap cause they are made in Europe. WRONG!! They were cheaper in the States! It may have to do with the taxes there.

I have spent this weekend installing fuel injection onto the Chev 327 in my Landcruiser. So far, all it has been is money injection, but I hope to get it cranked up tonight. I missed a heck of a nice ride with the group Corey took up the Greenwater.

118 Pounds each seems high to me for BFG AT/KOs. If my exchange rates are correct that = $180 per tire for 32"!! 31" x 10.5 x 15s are going for $113 each here. Is that including trans-Atlantic shipping, tarrifs and sales taxes? THey are great tires but I wouldn't pay that much for them. On a recent trail run here in Colorado, we had 10 Toyotas wearing 9 sets of BFGs and one set of TSL super swampers. They work great in our conditions here. 9 of 10 Toy owners can't be wrong, right?

Never heard of that ADL clutch. I hope to get 8-10 years from my Genuine Toyota clutch I had installed last year. Hope the ADL holds up for you.

Matt everything here in the UK is ungodly expensive!!! That price Luke quoted was the price shipped and mounted on his wheels. I ran into the same wall when I was looking for mine. Luckily though a trip to the states come up and since one of my jobs on the jet is the loadmaster I just loaded some up in our cargo area and brought them back with. Much better deal

Hello,
I too have a 94 Toyota. I wonder whether running the stock R&P's and the 31" tires wore out my truck's clutch. (I bought the truck in Apr 99 with 79K on the odo) Anyhow, as much of a pain as it is, and as much as it costs, I bought a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch set($430), and paid a local shop to install it.($269) It is great, but I hope that it lasts a long time! I will need new tires this year, and I hope that I can turn some 32's with the stock R&P's (V6) Any ideas?
