I just got a MagnaFlow high flow cat from "Performance Curve", an eBay vendor. $56 shipped:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7967772359
(that auction's done, but hit "View seller's other items" to find a new one)
Great price, Immediate ship, perfect condition. I'll hopefully have it on "soon".

yah i'm trying to figure out the same thing, cause i've got a new 2.25" exhaust and now want a new cat, but i was hoping for something that would bolt on using the stock flanges. also, should i get a 2"in, 2"out cat? or 2.25in/out?

I went with 2.5" 'cause when I put headers on I went to 2.5" pipe from the cat on back to the tail, and the shop kept the stock cat. The way it is now, I have a 2.5" -> 2.25" reducer from the collector to the cat, then a 2.25" -> 2.5" expander from the cat to the exhaust. It's a bit Frankenstein...
The Magnaflow cat shows up just like it shows in the eBay pic. No flanges, and it's about 1/2 the length of the stock cat. That actually works out pretty well for me, 'cause when I got the headers put on, there is only about 4" of pipe from the end of the collector to the cat. The front O2 sensor is real cozy right there, and my wideband is cooking pretty well - there's a lot of heat at that point.
Anyway, the sort length of the cat will let me extend the run from the collector which will open up some room in there.

Mine isn't installed yet... I have two people that are willing to do it (or to put a torch in my hands!) and we have to work out a schedule. In general, mine will be welded in - I don't like clamps in an exhaust system. I have enough problems keep flanges sealed, I don't want to fight tubing clamps as well.
Christian ("<96 Runner>") is the guy that started the current cycle of the "Magnaflow HighFlow Cat" craze. He recently got one from the vendor I got mine from and I think his is already installed. He may have some more words on how to make it happen.

i just got a universal one from buckys and had them install it it only cost me 140 dollars all together and they welded the new cat on so i didnt mind paying that much. also if i would have waited longer or not noticed the smell it could have been alot worse then just spending 140 because i asked the guy when i picked my truck up how clogged the old one was and he said about 3/4 of it was clogged not much flow there.
