New brake pads squeal on 3rd gen. Help...
I recently installed the PBR brake pads on my 97 3rd gen runner and they squeal pretty bad. I noticed there are some plates behind the pads and I wonder if they are anti squeal? Any info on how to minimize the squeal would be appreciated.

You can get it at any auto parts store as well.
I recently replaced my pads with some aftermarket ones...the plates were not as high quality as the Toyota ones, but I haven't experienced squeal. Just a thought tho....
