New 87 runner - need exhaust suggestions

The exhaust on my 87 22RE runner needs replaced. What are the best options for a direct replacement? Also is it possible to bolt an exhaust from a 6 cylinder or is that not recommended? Also I will need a CAT so I will need some opinions for a complete exhaust from the manifold back. What is the optimum size for the exhaust?

The optimum size is 2.25". I do not have any idea about bolting on the 6 cyl exhaust.
you would probably be better off replaceing the exhaust with new intead of something used anyway. I ordered my CAT from LC engineering. I would recommend them.
Hopefully someone else will chime in with some more options.

Yea, I agree with the size of 2.25'' pipping. I just put a 2.25'' exhaust on my 87 truck with a Flowmaster and new cat. It flowing a whole lot better now. I don't know about the those bolt on systems. I had a buddy of mine do it and in a few months the whole system basically fell off.

Do it right and do LC Engineering.

Headers/high flow cat from LC and then a new custom 2.25" exhaust from the local muffler shop and they put everything on

Pricey, but runs/sounds much better.
