Fab yourself a proper front bumper, too, while you're at it, and take off the brush guard. If you end up bending the brush guard, you'll probably end up scratching or damaging your front end.

Looking at your vehicle, you already have damage to the rocker, most likely due to those nerf bars.
As many have said, sliders would be your best choice especially considering that some can be bought for pretty cheap.
But, some people just like useless chrome accessories.
So just be careful when fixing the bar, as it may eventually fatigue from all the bend/rebend.
