Name that part on the 3VZE! (PICS)
Yeah sounds fun doesn't it. Well, I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone can help me with.
First up is this electrical connection. I know obviously it's been cut, but this is the one that came on the new motor, I'm sure the old one is in tact... I assume hanging from somewhere. If someone could tell me where it originates, maybe I can find it. I've searched all down in the engine bay with no luck, but I do recall loosening it off the old one and assumably dropping it somewhere. Is it connected to the wiring harness? What does it measure and does it really matter?
Next up is a photo up towards the firewall, sort of in the middle, perhaps a little to the driver's side. It's obviously an electrical plug. What for? I don't know. Just wondering if anyone has seen or knows what it would go to/for.
Finally, I have a couple pictures. There are two hoses that hook into the bottom of the power steering pump. But I don't know where the other two ends should be hooked to. I took a pic of both the connection at the pump and also the loose ends. Can someone give me some direction here please?
Thanks!

1) EGR Temp sensor
2) Probably the knock sensor. If it is the knock sensor then I would not install the motor without it hooked up or else it will give you a check engine light and it will run like ˟˟˟˟.
3) Those are the idle up hoses that need to be hooked up according to the vacuum diagram.

The knock sensor is right on top of the block in the middle of the engine under the intake manifold. You can diagnose if it's dosconnected by looking on the left side middle of the intake manifold to see if there's another conector coming up that isn't connected to anything. You might need to remove the intake plenum if things are hard to see. If the connector is disconnected then you'll have to remove the instake plenum to reconnect it probably. You can buy a new intake plenum gasket as a single gasket from any Toyota dealer.

Yeah, i already have a new intake plenum gasket (that's already on there and hasn't been started yet) so if i have to take it off no big deal. Thanks for the help, i'll look for that!
Also, do you have any idea where the "idle up" hoses go? I'm really not seeing them on the diagram for some reason (the under-hood diagram). BTW, what is their purpose? I know my car didn't have those on it (mitsu).

I checked, and it's not hte knock sensor. I'm assuming the knock sensor is the one that comes out of the head (below the fuel rail) with a wire and plug on the end of it. IF that's it, then it is already hooked up.
Back to the drawing board.

On mine there are 4 connectors that plug straight down, at the rear just behind the driver's side rearmost intake runner. They're all in a row and within iches of each other. 2 with 2 wires and 2 with one wire. That looks like one of them.

The first picture looks like the secondary O2 sensor. There should be a plug nearby that is would plug into. That's all I recognize since I don't have that engine.
