I acid tested the tire carrier this weekend, Climbing a stair step that was little loose. I had to gas it to "bump" the back tires over the edge. From what the spectators said, my rear was 2 to 3 feet in the air! The spare/hi-lift carrier did not budge!! very stout! I never did get to try out the shackle mounts no one really got stuck! Check out the Mineral wells trip reports section..

Oh yeah, I had a 1/2 dozen guys drooling over it behind my truck!

Yes, I can attest to both of the following:
a) the rear was 2 to 3 feet bouncing in the air
b) we were all drooling over the tire carrier (which I am going to buy from you asap, Steve!)
