My tuck is rusting!

Last friday I went 4wheelin. When it came time to turn around I accidently backed into a root. I broke the back left tail light and put in a dent in the truck right about the light. The paint was scraped off.

Now there is rust on my truck, and it hasnt even been six days since the accident. Whats the best way to remove the rust and to keep that spot from rusting in the future?

I just used a wire brush on it and got it all off. Then I primed the barespots. My truck is a little two tone, but its rust free

make sure you seal the primer. or use a primer/sealer. otherwise it will rust through.

Yep, sand to bare metal spray primer (sand if to much is on, just a little) then paint. Mine is also two toned but it looks alot better than rust.
