My new rig
Hey guys,
after many questions on here and much debating with the parents, my new rig is finally paid for and sitting in my driveway back in Houston. Only problem is, I am still here in Atlanta for the next 12 days or so until school is out. I can't wait to get home!
The specs have been in my sig for a few days now and I just got an avatar up of it, but ill go into a little more detail and post a few pics that the seller gave me:
2000 Tacoma TRD v6 5spd
73,000 miles
White
Tan Interior
Spray-in Bedliner
Power Windows and Locks
Tow pkg
OME 882s
Bilstein HD Struts up front
Custom Built Rock Sliders
3" Body Lift
33" BFG All-Terrains (Brand New!) on 15x10 Custom Alloy Wheels
Kenwood 200W Speakers in front, 140W in back
Flowmaster Exhaust
Rancho Shocks in rear (Can mount standard way OR Triangular)
U-Bolt Flip
1" diff drop
Cobra CB
Hi-Lift Jack
Bed-mounted Tool Box
and a set of 33" Pro Comp Mud Terrains on 15x8 Black Steel rims. Tires have about 10,000 miles left on them. Used as trail tires.
I'm stoked to get home and can't wait to drive it. I have to learn to drive a manual better though, I've only done it once. Oh well, all in the fun of it! First full day I'm back (Sunday, the 7th) ill be swapping over the Hellas, Kenwood HU, Alpine Amp, and Boston sub from the 4runner. My sister is debating taking my 4runner in place of her Rodeo, but either way I'll be selling something.
Here are some pics the seller gave me, I'll post some more once I get home and can take my own pics
PS, I'll also be removing the 3 a&m stickers given that I go to Georgia Tech...

hell yeah thats what im talking about.
my question is the 7.3k miles...is that 73k?
any reason for going for a more offroad approach...i see your 4runner is more audio/looks than the truck.

My fault, that's 73,000 miles, changed it.
Um, lets see, I've always wanted an offroad capable truck but was never able to convince my parents that I should hold out for a 4x4 when I was looking for my 4runner. I found the 4runner I have now and given that I had never done any offroading, it was fine. It was my second SUV and second 2wd, so it was fine. The audio stuff I'll put in the Taco as that's kind of important to me. I set out slowly looking for a 4wd Taco/4runner intending to buy more of a stock one and build it up but then I stumbled upon this and things just clicked into place over the course of a few weeks and here I am. Now I can put more money toward tuition and less toward lifts, tires, etc. I do plan on doing a TJM in the future, but not immediately. I gotta figure out how I'm going to mount the Hellas...
Oh and the exhaust/hood scoop on the 4runner came like that, I didn't put that on myself. Not saying I didn't love the sound of it! I got the brush guard for Christmas and put that on and the lights the next Christmas. The brush guard will be staying with the 4runner as it won't be a direct swap to the Taco and the chances of it not fitting are even higher with the 3" BL on the Taco.

If you're planning on eventually getting a new bumper, why not mount them on your stock bumper? I did it to my 99 and my 03, and it works fine. Good looking truck, by the way...

Sorry dude, im keepin the Kenwood speakers in the truck, movin the Kenwood HU into the truck (wow, I'll have 2 spare stock HUs), and moving the sub/amp into the truck (provided I can find a good place for the sub, any suggestions?)
i am stoked though, can't wait for the next 1.5 weeks to disappear. not only because i'll get to the truck, but these brutal finals will be over. ill post pics as I install all the electronics and let yall see some final pics including things the sellers pics didn't cover.

I finally found a time to do a quick wash so here are some updated pics. Since I got it, I have added the Hellas from my 4runner and taken off all the A&M stickers. I also replaced the weird white antenna with one of my Firestik II's.
