My clutch clicks when i engage it?

Hey...

The clutch in my 2000 4Runner makes a noticable single click when i engage the clutch and it is pressed to the floor. Is this normal?

This is evident each time i shift...
push down the clutch...CLICK...
then shifting seems fine
Anyone?

This is my first toyota
Thanks...

yup. There will be a start switch on your firewall that must be depressed to start the vehicle. My switch is silent though. You must have a noisy one.
