My 4Runner reached a milestone today!

AS I pulled into the parking lot at work Friday night, I noticed my odometer. I was nearing a milestone. As it is my wife drives our 4Runner regularly and I occasionaly. Anyways, when I got off of work, I drove 3 miles and reached 200K. I ended with a total of 200,015 miles when I got home. This is the first vehicle I have owned that has reached this many miles. I am pleased to say that she is running great and shows no sign of slowing down.

Very impressive and good to hear coming from another '96 owner.
200k is no joke.

I bought it a few years ago with about 159K. I do not know the service history, so at about 165K I changed the timeing belt, water pump, the two bearing all while I had the furl injectors pulled for servicing. Other than that all I have done is the standard oil changes and tune ups.

I reached a milestone today also on my '93 4Runner. 186,411 miles!!! I know that doesn't mean much to you guys in the states, but on the north side of the border, that means 300,000kms. Still running strong.

Awesome! How much of a difference did the fuel injector servicing make?

Well, considering that I had 2 bad ones and I was misfiring all over the place it actually made a big difference. I was gonna have my 4Runner down for awhile (for fuel injectors) so I decided to do preventative maintance (timing belt) to be safe. But overall it helped. I still average about 16 -16.5 mpg.

awesome. my '97 just hit 205k yesterday, it was great to roll over that mileage after just completing an oil change and rotor swap.

That's great news. I am looking forward to seeing at least another 100K.
